An introductory service to get insider feedback on your concept or idea. We will evaluate your idea based on its creative and commercial content, using the criteria by which the film industry judges material. This quick evaluation will tell you whether your basic idea is a strong enough foundation from which to build a winning screenplay. All we need are a few lines describing your story to give you this quick evaluation service.
A 2-3 page document that evaluates the creative and commercial merits of your treatment (story idea in prose form). We will apply the criteria we use in our industry coverage, but will spend more time discussing the strengths and weaknesses of your story premise, structure and characterization, as this is a screenplay proposal.
An industry standard report (3 pages) that is generated by studios and production companies. It contains the details of your project, a brief synopsis and comments evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of your screenplay according to established industry standards (e.g. concept, structure, characterisation, stakes, visual style, dialogue and marketability). We will give a final rating of either “pass,” “consider,” or “recommend.” At the end of the report you will receive a “snap shot” grid where you can see the value attached to each of the evaluation categories.
A longer document (5-7 pages) offering a more in-depth analysis of your project based on industry standards of how screenplays are developed at studios and production companies. We will evaluate the strength of your concept as a foundation for your project, break down the structure of your screenplay according to our industry coverage criteria, but also give you specific feedback on additional creative considerations, such as : originality, dramatic conflict, world of the story, sub-plots, pace, use of genre, tone, visual style, dialogue and target audience. In addition, we will make concrete recommendations for solving the key problem areas of your screenplay, and give you various specific solutions for advancing your project to the next level.
